Here’s an additional e-bulletin to bring you details of our four upcoming meetings that were unconfirmed at the time of our previous newsletter.

All the following meetings are taking place in Waterside 1 at Watershed, Watershed, 1 Canon’s Road, Harbourside, Bristol, BS1 5TX.

Tuesday, 26 January at 7.30pm: Open Workshop

In a change to the date advertised originally, tonight’s meeting features work by Aaron Hancock.

Tuesday, 2 February at 7.30pm: Total Hassle by Scott Wilson

In Scott’s short film script, the action centres on the worst ever trip to the theatre, during which Edward must convince his blind date that the actors are not, in fact, performing the immersive new play Breaking the Fourth Wall, but instead breaking into his flat.

Tuesday, 9 February at 7.30pm: The Uncertainty Principle by John Upward

Tonight’s meeting certainly features John’s 30-minute stage play.

Tuesday, 16 February at 7.30pm: The Tragedy of Tom and Mary Marsh by Jamie Hughes

We conclude with Jamie’s dark comedy screenplay charting the decline of a young couple’s relationship, morals and sanity:

Tom and Mary run a small B&B in a quiet seaside town. They are happy and have everything they want, except for the thing they crave the most; a child. Having suffered multiple failed IVF courses, they are running out of options — and money. When a new guest arrives, the couple’s curiosity gets the better of them and they learn more about him than they should. What starts as a simple blackmail plot becomes increasingly horrifying…
