A couple of stop press news items…

Sharp start on Tuesday
We have a packed programme for Tuesday’s (2 December) meeting, which will feature work in progress by Brian Weaving and several more submissions for the upcoming Red Cups Revue at Starbucks on Thursday, 11 and Friday, 12 December. To make sure we can cram all this into the evening, we’ll be starting promptly at 7.30pm, so please bring your drinks straight upstairs!

Script Space 2
Script Space, Tobacco Factory’s adventurous forum for new writers, is inviting submissions of original plays for production as part of a series of rehearsed, script-in-hand theatre performances.

Now in its second year and led by an energetic new team, Script Space aims to nurture new writing talent and help with the leap from script to stage, offering selected writers practical support with developing their work for performance.

The theme for Script Space 2 is ‘Adversaries’ and submissions should ideally reflect this. They should also be 90 minutes or shorter, written for a maximum of four actors and include simple stage directions.
