Our new season features an unmissable talk by Mike Bullen — writer of the ITV hit Cold Feet. Please put this and all the other dates in your diary. All meetings take place in the Cooper’s Loft at the Bristol Old Vic (except 28 March which is in the Macready Room). Ask at the bar on the first floor for directions. Everyone attending pays £1.

A reading of two of the scripts that didn’t quite make it to the finals of our recent competition. Tuesday, 4 April at 7.30pm: Meet Mike Bullen of Cold Feet
Mike Bullen will talk to us about the development of Cold Feet from the time he first pitched the idea to ITV executives up to the third series — which he is currently working on for screening in the autumn. He’ll discuss how the motivation of the characters was developed in long discussions with the director and will illustrate his talk with various clips, including scenes that didn’t work and comparisons of a scene from the English version with the American version of the same thing.
