Papatango Theatre Company has tweaked its annual New Writing Prize competition for UK- and Republic of Ireland-based writers in response to the pandemic.
This time, it’s teamed-up with English Touring Theatre to triple the number of first-prizewinning scripts. Three overall winners will receive £2000 each plus audio productions of their plays and digital publication by Nick Hern Books.
The audio productions will tour the UK, taking in venues including Bristol Old Vic and Theatre Royal Plymouth.
Papatango’s panel of professional script readers reads entries anonymously and offers brief feedback on each one. The submission deadline is midnight on Sunday, 7 February 2021.
